Quebec- Montreal - Miscellaneous Bits
We had a great two weeks in Montreal. Our Airbnb apartment
was quiet and comfortable and, despite being a ways away from the downtown
core, was very close to the subway. The Montreal subway was clean, safe and
efficient so getting around without the hassle of a car was a breeze. The
weather was really comfortable too, with only a couple of rainy days. We don’t mind the occasional inclement
weather since we can still visit museums or other indoor sights, or we can just
use it as an excuse to stay home and catch up with photo editing, trip
planning, reading, music playing (Deborah) or just plain resting. We do our
best to relax and not experience FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), but it is not
always easy in a place like Montreal which has no shortage of interesting
diversions.

Poutine: french fries, cheese curds, gravy, and sometimes meat. This once rural diner food originated in Quebec in the 1950s and is now quite popular, with many variations available.
We got the vegetarian version. We can't speak to its healthfulness, but it tasted pretty good!
