New Zealand - Motukiekie Beach

Motukiekie Beach on the South Island’s west coast is only accessible on low tides, but it is well worth adjusting your schedule to be there. This has to be one of our favorite beach walks of all time. It’s a dramatic coast chock-full of sea stacks, high cliffs, waterfalls, arches, caves, a wave-sculpted tidal shelf, and just plain bizarre rock formations. And loads of sea stars! Magic!

Little Shag (I think)

Another strange rock formation and possible inspiration for the Superman logo.
