Singapore - Gardens by the Bay

Gardens by the Bay is a popular nature park on reclaimed waterfront land in central Singapore. In addition to several parks and a network of paths, it includes a pair of striking conservatories known as Flower Dome and Cloud Forest, and a grove of Supertrees, which are high-tech, solar powered, tree-like vertical gardens. The conservatories are cooled – a welcome relief from the Singaporean heat and humidity – and we literally spent hours there. At night the Supertrees light up as the stars of a colorful music and light show.

Inside the Flower Dome, which replicates dry, mild, Mediterranean-type climates around the world.

Just because it's 35 ⁰C (87 ⁰F) outside doesn't mean it isn't autumn.

This is a cactus. If it looks like something else to you that isn't my fault.

The gardens feature many sculptures as well as foliage.

The Cloud Forest - inside replicates the cool moist climate of a tropical mountain forest.

Wild, spiraling path around the "mountain." Deborah didn't like that bit.

The large flowers are actually Leggos
