Cambodia - Siem Reap
Siem Reap is the gateway city to the Angkor Archaeological
Park, and like every other tourist we made it our base for exploring Angkor Wat
and the surrounding temples. Like other towns in developing countries it is a
bit dirty, a bit smelly, with more than its share of potholes and crumbing
sidewalks. Still, the people were friendly, we had an incredible hotel
experience (which Deborah has promised to blog about), and the food is cheap
and tasty. Here is some of what we saw while walking around town.
Cambodian version of a pickup truck, this one complete with coconuts.
Khmer, English and Chinese all on the same storefront.

Fish spas are everywhere. The little aquatic pedicurists will nibble away at the dead skin of your feet. Not a diet I would choose.

Tuk Tuk drivers will often hang hammocks in their vehicles while they are waiting for their clients to return.
This "security guard" needs one of those hammocks, and possibly a new profession.
