Townsville - Dog Sitting
Most house sits involve pet
sitting – and it is usually dogs. This one in Townsville was unusual in that
the homeowners didn’t own any pets. We have plenty of other responsibilities
like watering, mowing, yard care and pool maintenance, but no animals apart
from the chickens, who do not need to be walked and whose poop can be left where
it falls since it is actually good for the garden. But we ended up dog sitting
after all when Erin, the homeowners’ daughter asked us to look after Lilly her
border collie while she and her family were off at a family wedding in another
part of Australia for ten days. We can always use a bit of doggie love so we
were happy to oblige, especially since Erin was kind enough to lend us her car
to use until it sold a couple of weeks ago. Lilly was well behaved and got lots of walks
around town, a new toy, and spoiled rotten by Deborah.
